JailHost
Discover what exactly ‘JailHost’ represents. Identify the primary advantages of activating this feature for your hosted domain names.
It's not unusual for lots of users to use weak passwords because they're less difficult to remember or to use scripts, templates and plug-ins that are not updated for a long time. In either of these instances, it won't be very difficult for a hacker to take control of the site and immediately after that to take control of other websites which may be hosted in the very same account. To prevent this scenario, we've added an advanced level security option called JailHost. It restricts the access that a script has solely to its own folder, so in case one of your Internet sites is compromised, the attacker will see its content, but will not be able to access any other content in your account, therefore the damage will be small. Needless to say, using JailHost doesn't replace the security measures you should take by keeping your scripts up-to-date and using long and complex passwords, still it will allow you to restrict the damage to one site only.

JailHost in Cloud Hosting
You can take full advantage of JailHost with every single
cloud hosting plan that we offer and protect your sites against attacks quick and easy. Every single domain and subdomain in the Hepsia Control Panel that is provided with our plans has a different folder and in contrast to what can often happen with many other Control Panels, the site content isn't mixed in a single main folder, so maintaining your sites separate is incredibly easier. Enabling JailHost for any Internet site takes only a few clicks, so even if you do not have a lot of experience, you won't need any specific skills to maintain your sites risk-free. The option isn't active by default in case that you wish to use some script that requires accessibility to a different folder in your account. If you use JailHost, the other Internet sites that you have will be protected, but even a hacked one will not remain affected for long because we will have a couple of daily backup copies for it at all times, so that we could promptly recover it.
